None of us doubt the negative effects of smoking, excessive alcohol consumption or obesity on health, but few of us fully understand the value of work to an individual’s health. It is important not only to physical and mental health, but also for social integration. If certain aspects of our lifestyle aren’t looked after, they can lead to illness, which could mean longterm absence from work.
This course is designed to enable participants to examine their current lifestyles and to identify areas of change through a self-examination process.
A number of health checks will take place to assess the level of current health and fitness. We will help educate participants on key issues that can effect long term health
and work productivity.
During this course we will share research findings that prove that a healthy diet and regular exercise are proven to be good for the body and mind; by increasing energy levels and improving problem-solving capabilities and mental sharpness. These benefits in turn often result in people feeling less stressed, improved morale, selfesteem and loyalty.
